It started out as a battered circle and didn't look particularly sociable. What better way to give it some special status than make it illuminate a party on the edge of a forest?
I started making food related paintings for an exhibition that was planned pre-Covid that included renditions of old cook book covers and graphics from a golden age of communication.
I was offered the space at Compton McCrae which is a mega deli in Semley, near Shaftesbury. There won't be an exhibition as such (private view, drunken arguments about The Colony Room etc), but there may be a few of these odd pictures hanging around.
They are lovely people and they have a cheese library! What's not to like?
